About a month ago I joined the American Legion that is down on First street. I have know other ex-military that have joined this particular post and liked it. Until a month ago I was just to busy to join. I was down at the post last night meeting with a couple of my friends. My two friend and I were planning out trip up to the bay area to see the San Francisco Giants play. After talking about that for twenty minutes One of my friends told us about the work he was having done on his van and all of the money he saved by using some military discounts.
While listening to my friend go over what the shop was going to be doing to his van I had some thoughts of my own. I own an older 1959 Chevy truck. I got the truck from my father when he passed away a few years back. After my friend was done talking about his van I asked him how much money he was going to save using the military discounts. I have been thinking of having my truck put into working order and wanted to save money doing it.
